Whether you are looking to improve an existing landscape, adding trees, hardscaping, gardens, or planning to landscape your new home, choosing a landscape designer is the first step in the process.

I invite you to call me and schedule an appointment to meet at your home. During this appointment we will discuss your landscaping goals, your individual preferences, and landscaping budget. Included is a site analysis, note important property views, drainage areas and climate exposure.

My goal is to create a sustainable landscape design that will compliment the architectural style of your home and property.

The next step in the process may be a preliminary landscape plan*. A preliminary plan is drawn to scale and identifies the general features of the landscape. It may include suggested hardscaping such patios, pathways and retaining walls, planters and lawn areas. Plants are located on the plan in a general way.

The preliminary plan offers the opportunity to share ideas with the client and make revisions if necessary and / or additions to the final Master Plan which will include planting details and a plant list.

*Some landscapes may require only a preliminary plan for the homeowners or landscaper to get started with installation areas. That may be a consideration during the first meeting.

Many informal low-maintenance landscapes can be affordably installed by a professional landscaper and/or homeowners who want to landscape in stages.
