Included is a site analysis, note important property views, drainage areas and climate exposure.

The next step in the process may be a preliminary landscape plan*. A preliminary plan is drawn to scale and identifilandscape-house2es the general features of the landscape. It may include suggested hardscaping such patios, pathways and retaining walls, planters and lawn areas. Plants are located on the plan in a general way.

The preliminary plan offers the opportunity to share ideas with the client and make revisions if necessary and / or additions to the final Master Plan which will include planting details and a plant list.

*Some landscapes may require only a preliminary plan for the homeowners or landscaper to get started with installation areas. That may be a consideration during the first meeting.

Many informal low-maintenance landscapes can be affordably installed by a professional landscaper and/or homeowners who want to landscape in stages.
